Saving “Grey’s Anatomy” from gay bashing.

Isaiah Washington was fired from ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” for his anti-gay stance. He is the poster child for ABC’s remedial class on social discrimination. He was thrown out like bath water and the baby “Grey’s Anatomy” is saved. It does not stop here. ABC quickly doused the flames of anger towards “Grey’s Anatomy” by lending the voices of T.R. Knight, Sara Ramirez, Kate Walsh and Alexandra Billings in celebrity ads to raise awareness on accepting gays. Yahoo! News reports here. The new series of 25 celebrity ads is released on Tuesday, September 4 and will be pitched to all the TV networks for airing.
Washington has experienced the severe backlash for a reckless moment of unguarded carelessness. He has been forced to eat humble pie several times over. In another assault to his dignity, he has filmed an ad for GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation), as a public service message to support it. Is it a case of having one face in private, another face in public? What do you think?
