In what was supposed to be the “Making the Band 4″ season finale, executive producer Sean (Diddy) Combs walked out, leaving the 10 finalists, the audience and contestant coach Michael Bivins scratching their heads.
After Comb’s abrupt exit, he asked fans to vote for their favorite finalists at makingtheband.mtv.com and on the live, rescheduled finale on MTV this Sunday at 10 p.m., he’ll choose his band from contestants Donnie, Michael, Jeremy, Brian C., Robert, Qwanell, Willie, Brian A., DeAngelo and Dyshon.
Diddy claims that the online votes will be “like having another input from one of the judges.” He says the votes won’t, however, determine the final outcome though he will be taking into consideration fans’ favorites.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office received a tip more than a week ago about dogs being kept in inhumane conditions at the Phoenix-area home of rapper DMX. Sheriff’s deputies raided the home on Friday, seizing several pit bulls and finding the remains of three other dogs but making no arrests. Authorites claim the dogs weren’t being fed or given water. The 36-year-old musician and actor, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was not at home during the raid.
Following the deaths of Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G., DMX took over as the reigning, undisputed king of hardcore rap. DMX was the first artist ever to have his first four albums enter the charts at number one. His albums include It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot and Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood and Year of the Dog … Again.

Legendary supermodel Naomi Campbell, 37, is in the news again. This time she isn’t making headlines for her bad behavior. She’s speaking out about the fashion industry’s lack of interest in black models.
Campbell told the press recently while visiting Nairobi, “”Black models are being sidelined by the major modeling agencies. It is a pity that people don’t appreciate black beauty. Even myself, I get a raw deal.”
Naomi Campbell was discovered at age 15 by Beth Boldt, former head of Synchro models agency, while she was window-shopping. In April 1986, she appeared on the cover of Elle, replacing a black model who canceled out of the appearance. By August 1988, she had appeared on the cover of the French Vogue as that publication’s first black cover girl, and she had completed campaigns for Ralph Lauren and François Nars.
The fashion icon is apparently poised to take action along with her strong feelings on this subject. There’s talk that the statuesque beauty has plans to found a modeling agency in Kenya.
