Van Halen and Roth Reunion Tour

Van Halen

David Lee Roth, Van Halen’s original lead singer, announced a reunion today. The band is scheduled to begin a 25-date tour in September. Cities on the band’s list of stops include Charlotte, North Carolina, Calgary, Canada, Chicago, New York City, and Los Angeles.

Plans for a reunion tour earlier this year were nixed when Eddie Van Halen entered rehab. It was during this time that the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. David Lee Roth quit the band in 1985 to pursue a solo career that really never went anywhere. Van Halen replaced Roth with leadman Sammy Hagar but this collaboration ended abruptly due to tensions between Eddie Van Halen and Hagar.
