50 Cent Giving Up Solo Career?

50 Cent is putting his solo career on the line with a challenge to hip-hop fans. 50 Cent’s album “Curtis” and Kanye West’s album “Graduation” are both slated for release on September 11th. 50 told the urban music website SOHH.com if West sells more copies of his CD than 50 Cent does that he’ll drop his solo career.

The Queens rapper says “I’ll write music and work with my other artists, but I won’t put out any more solo albums.”
It seems like 50 Cent is feeling a lack of love from hip-hop critics - and hating a little bit on West’s accolades for his music. He recently spoke in an interview at the same website about his lack of recognition in the industry despite his track record of high sales.

“I don’t get trophies, I get checks, He gets the trophies.”
