“Gene Simmons Family Jewels” returns for 2nd season

“Gene Simmons Family Jewels” featuring the rock god Gene Simmons, long-time girlfriend Shannon Tweed, and their two children Sophie and Nick is returning to A&E for a second season. The upcoming premier of the popular reality series will air Sunday, March 25th.

Episodes for this season include coverage of Gene and Shannon’s cosmetic surgeries, Nick leaving for college, and Shannon trying to convince Gene it’s time for another baby. The first episode centers around Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed slipping away to a weight-loss spa that doesn’t impress Gene at all. He and Shannon have separate rooms, his food is restricted, and there’s no television in the private rooms. Meanwhile, the kids back home kick up their heels while mom and dad are away.

Gene and Shannon have been partners for more than 20 years. Their non-traditional family sagas make for great reality t.v. Gene Simmons is hilarious and very different from his stage personality.
