Ashlee Simpson denies new romance

Pop star Ashlee Simpson is denying rumors of a romantic liaison with producer Chad Hugo after the pair were seen leaving a nightspot together this week. Hugo is part of a hip-hop duo called The Neptunes. The New York Post claims that Simpson allegedly hooked up with Chris Hugo after Ryan Phillippe snubbed her.

Simpson has been previously linked to Fall Out Boy bassisst Pete Wentz. A representative for the singer says, “That is not true. She is working with Chad on her new album. There is nothing romantic going on.”

According to “Life and Style Magazine,” Ashlee is creating her very own nightclub in one room of her newly purchased home. The pop star spent a reported $100,000 revamping the space in her new Beverly Hills mansion. Club Ashlee features a dancefloor, state-of-the-art sound system and a fully stocked bar. Maybe Ryan Phillippe wasn’t intersted in hanging out with Simson at Club Ashlee.
