Eddie Van Halen checked into rehab

According to a statement on the legendary Rock band’s website, founder and lead guitarist Eddie Van Halen has checked into a rehabilitation center. The musician didn’t specify what he was seeking treatment for but there is much speculation that Eddie is facing his problem with alcohol.

Van Halen is set to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in New York on Monday. It’s unlikely that the rocker will be present for the ceremony honoring the accomplishments of the band. Velvet Revolver, fronted by Scott Weiland, is slated to play a medley of Van Halen tribute songs.
